Onboarding
Everything you need to join Beacon People: required documents, timesheet process, and registration. Get set up in one place.
Joining Beacon People is straightforward: we need to verify your right to work and identity, set up your employment and pay schedule, and show you how to submit timesheets. This page covers all of that. When you’re ready, use the registration form at the bottom to get started.
Required documents (right to work and ID)
We must verify your right to work in the UK and your identity before we can employ you. This is a legal requirement and supports compliance for you and for the agencies we work with. When you register, we will tell you exactly which documents to provide.
Acceptable proof of right to work typically includes a valid British or Irish passport, or a combination of documents (for example a current passport with a visa or status document) that show you are allowed to work in the UK. We also need proof of your address and identity where required. We will confirm the list and any specific requirements when we process your registration—this keeps the process clear and avoids unnecessary back-and-forth.
Documents are checked as part of onboarding and we keep a record of the checks in line with our compliance and data retention policies. If you have questions about which documents you can use, our team can guide you when you register.
Timesheets and approvals
You submit timesheets in line with our process; the agency or site typically approves them. We use approved times to run payroll. Submitting on time and correctly helps ensure you are paid on schedule.
We will explain the exact process and cut-off times when you join—including how to submit (e.g. portal or app), who approves, and how that feeds into our pay runs. For many logistics assignments we offer weekly pay, so once that week’s timesheet is approved, it goes into the next pay run. If your assignment uses a different cycle (fortnightly or monthly), we will set that up at onboarding.
If a timesheet is late or needs correcting, it may be processed in the following pay run. Our support team can help with process questions or issues with a specific submission. For more on pay cycles and payslips, see Getting paid.
