Compliance

Our approach to tax, employment, and supply chain compliance: PAYE, audit trails, JSL, and data protection.

Our compliance framework

We are committed to operating in compliance with HMRC requirements and relevant employment and data protection law. Below is an overview of the areas we focus on. We do not provide tax or legal advice; we describe our controls and our approach.

HMRC and PAYE

We operate PAYE on all contractor pay. We maintain records to support tax and National Insurance obligations and design our processes so that agencies can rely on robust information for their supply chain due diligence. We focus on correct operation of PAYE and NI, and on an audit trail from timesheet to payslip.

Joint and Several Liability (JSL)

JSL in the agency supply chain can affect agencies that place workers through umbrellas. We maintain strong audit trails and transparent processes and provide documentation to support agency due diligence. We have dedicated pages on JSL for those who need more detail:

Right to work and verification

We verify right to work and identity at onboarding for every worker. This is a legal requirement and supports compliance for you and for agencies. We will tell you which documents to provide when you register. For more, see Onboarding: required documents.

AWR and IR35

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) give agency workers certain rights after a qualifying period. We do not provide legal advice; for a short definition see our Glossary. Under our umbrella arrangement you are employed by us and pay is processed under PAYE; IR35 in the traditional sense does not apply to that employment. For your personal tax position, seek independent advice.

Audit trail and record keeping

We maintain an audit trail and retain records in line with legal and regulatory requirements (including HMRC and employment law). For how long we keep data, see our Data retention policy.

GDPR and payroll data protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our policies. For what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy and Data retention policy.
